Cauliflower Tots Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Cooking spray
  • 4 c. steamed cauliflower florets (about ½ large cauliflower)
  • 1 lightly beaten large egg
  • 1 c. shredded cheddar
  • 1 c. freshly grated Parmesan
  • 2/3 c. panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp. freshly chopped chives
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ c. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. Sriracha

Cauliflower tots directions

If you want to prepare it in over:

  • First of all, preheat oven to 375°. Then oil a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • After that, in a food processor, pulse the steamed cauliflower until riced. Now, place the riced cauliflower on a clean kitchen towel and squeeze to remove water.
  • Then, transfer cauliflower to a large bowl with an egg, cheddar, Parmesan, Panko, and chives and mix until combined and season it with salt and pepper to savor.
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon mixture and roll it into a tater-tot shape using your hands. The next step of the process is to place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes until the tots are golden.
  • In the meanwhile, make spicy ketchup: Combine ketchup and Sriracha in a small serving bowl and mix to combine.
  • In the end, serve warm cauliflower tots with spicy ketchup.

If you want to prepare it in fryer:

  • In a food processor, pulse the steamed cauliflower until riced. The place the riced cauliflower on a neat kitchen towel and squeeze to remove water.
  • After that, transfer the cauliflower to a large bowl with the egg, cheddar, Parmesan, Panko, and chives and mix them until combined. After that, season with salt and pepper to eat.
  • Now, spoon about 1 tablespoon or 3 teaspoons of the mixture and roll it into a tater-tot shape using your hands. Working in batches, arrange in the basket of air fryer in a single layer and cook at 375° for 10, until the tots are golden.
  • In the meanwhile, make spicy ketchup: Blend ketchup and Sriracha in a small serving bowl and mix to combine.
  • In the end, serve warm cauliflower tots with spicy ketchup.
